Borges Ranch

Borges Ranch is a mini-park, part of Mt. Diablo. It was mostly very muddy, and I forgot the camera, but got this nice image of the farm with the trusty cel-phone cam. And see that area where the fence's shadow makes kind of a grid? There's a bunny there:

See? (Binoculars to cel-phone picture, that is SO 2010)

Based on the range maps in the Peterson guide to mammals, I will guess that this is a brush rabbit.

  1. your phone takes nice pictures! do you know what causes the sort of whited-out quality to daylight cameraphone photos? it makes it look like the picture is from the 70s or something. is it just the quality of the tiny camera?

    welcome to the future!

  2. Hmm, I don't know. I did some photoshopping on these to crisp them up a bit, including adjusting the white balance.

  4. Oh yeeeeah, huh? I didn't even think of that. This bunny does remind me of the one we saw that day in the park though...
